The World Health Organization has alarmed doctors and world leaders about a mysterious illness among children that's possibly linked to COVID-19.
The Director-General of the WHO said Friday that a number of children in Europe and North America have been hospitalized due to symptoms including toxic shock, high fever and heart inflammation.
He added that the initial reports suggest that the syndrome is potentially related to COVID-19.
The United Kingdom and France have even reported deaths related to the illness this week
