The celebrations for Bakra Eid 2016 have begun in some parts of India even as the government has officially announced that the festival will be observed on Tuesday, 13th September. Muslims from Kerala are celebrating this auspicious festival today. Bakri Eid is celebrated with great fun and enthusiasm amongst Muslims. The main reason to celebrate Bakri Eid is because Ibrahim (one of the prophets) willingly offered his son as a gratitude of sacrifice at God’s command. That’s the reason, why on this occasion animals are sacrificed as an offering to the almighty.
