Nation Reporter: Banks to use Indelible ink to avoid misuse of currency note exchange facility

The government’s move of using indelible ink to prevent misuse of the exchange facility will be implemented in all banks around the nation from Wednesday. Bank branches will put notices outside their branches advising people to avoid exchange of old notes multiple times. Whereas Supreme Court has refused to stay the government’s notification demonetising Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes but asked it to spell out the steps taken to minimise public inconvenience.
