U.S. Women's Open Rewind- 2002: Inkster Makes History at Prairie Dunes (Golf)
A duel between LPGA icons Juli Inkster and Annika Sörenstam at the 2002 U.S. Women's Open at Prairie Dunes Country Club ended in history being made in more than one way. Inkster joined legend Babe Zaharias as the only women to win multiple major championships after the age of 40. Additionally, Inkster joined Jack Nicklaus as the only players in the history of the game to win their respective U.S. Amateur and U.S. Open titles at the same course. Inkster won the 1980 U.S. Women's Amateur at Prairie Dunes while Jack won both titles at Pebble Beach.
