वर्ल्ड हेल्थ ऑर्गनाइज़ेशन (डब्ल्यूएचओ) के कोविड-19 के लिए विशेष दूत डेविड नाबारो ने कहा है कि दुनिया की पूरी आबादी तक कोरोना वायरस की वैक्सीन पहुँचने में ढाई साल तक का वक़्त लग सकता है. एक ख़ास इंटरव्यू में नाबारो ने कहा, "सभी अनुमान इस ओर इशारा कर रहे हैं कि एक सुरक्षित और प्रभावी वैक्सीन विकसित करने में कम से कम 18 महीने का वक़्त लग सकता है. हमें ऐसी कई वैक्सीन की ज़रूरत होगी. इसके बाद इस वैक्सीन की मैन्युफैक्चरिंग करने और इसे दुनिया की 7.8 अरब की आबादी को मुहैया कराने में एक साल और लग जाएगा."
