India and England played out a thrilling game in a World Cup match in Bangalore and went down in the history books to remain as a classic. There was hardly anything to separate the two teams on the day as the match ended in a tie, only the fourth ever in a World Cup. On a good batting track, after batting first, India posted a mammoth 338 runs on the board. Sachin Tendulkar was the wrecker-in-chief as he scored a blistering 120 from just 115 balls. He was well supported by all the batsmen, especially Gautam Gambhir (51) and Yuvraj Singh (58).

एक मैच रहा 2011 विश्वकप का भारत-इंग्लैंड, बेंगलूरु वनडे. ग्रुप राउंड के इस मुकाबले को जीत दोनों टीम अपनी स्थिति मजबूत करना चाह रही थीं. भारत ने पहले बल्लेबाजी की और वो भी धमाकेदार अंदाज में. वीरेंद्र सहवाग ने 26 बॉल पर 35 रन ठोक भारत को अच्छी शुरुआत दी. गौतम गंभीर (51) और युवराज सिंह (58) ने भी दम दिखाया. लेकिन खास रही मास्टर ब्लास्टर सचिन तेंदुलकर की 115 गेंदों पर 120 रनों की पारी. सचिन ने 10 चौके और 5 छक्के जड़ते हुए भारत को ड्राइविंग सीट पर ला दिया.अंतिम ओवर्स में इंग्लैण्ड ने जोरदार वापसी की और एक बार 350 रन की ओर बढ़ रहे भारत को 338 के स्कोर पर ही रोक दिया.
