'Anti-theft' pins spotted nailed into face masks in Chinese supermarket

A customer in northern China found the anti-theft pins were nailed into bags of face masks in a supermarket on May 12.

The bizarre video, captured in Tianjin and provided by local media, shows bags of face masks all being nailed with an anti-theft pin.

A customer said he was about to buy the masks but realised that all masks had pins in them. Since it would have a small hole on the masks after the pin is removed, the customer was not happy with it and did not buy them.

The supermarket has not given any response to the case.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
