Tube station busy as Londoners head back to work after UK COVID-19 lockdown eased

Footage from Acton North tube station in West London during Wednesday (May 13) morning’s rush hour where many commuters were seen alighting on platforms.

Numerous commuters can be seen travelling without wearing masks after the government advised to wear protective masks while travelling on public transport.

Many industries, including construction and factory workers, are starting to go back after the nation's lockdown was eased.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is trying to get people back to work on the day it was revealed that the UK economy contracted by two per cent in the first quarter of 2020, following the coronavirus pandemic.
