US family creates 'plastic hug blanket' to use during COVID-19 pandemic

A family in Conway, Arkansas has created a plastic-protected hug blanket which allows for social distancing embraces.

The heartwarming clip from April 21 shows the hug blanket, constructed from a shower curtain and hot glue, and includes arm holes with sleeves, hang on the Ayoub family's front door

Further footage from April 26 sees the hug blanket on tour to the Ayoub family's grandparents and in-law's homes.

Paul Ayoub, the filmer told Newsflare, "My sister in-law had our niece Moriah during quarantine and my wife, Katie, wanted to create something that would allow us to hold her safely."

Paul posted a video of his on TikTok, where it quickly went viral.
