Tea Music 3_5 February – A Warm Front 貳月 · 乍暖还寒

The wind picks up, taking with it the serenity of a pond’s surface. In the first rays of dawn, the poplar and willow trees begin to tremble, and a blanket of ominous clouds fills the sky like smoke. Before night has completely lifted, the reflection of a leaning tower can be seen in the surface of the frozen lake, standing silently, as it has for a thousand years. Then day breaks, and the piano whispers the story of the cold, lonely night, treading forward cautiously as if in fear of interfering with the song of the cello, which joins like a breath of spring air, like a splash of spring sunlight over the surface of the lake. In the distance, the sound of ice cracking can be heard, a faint reply to the rising sun, and the warmth of spring flows into the land, driving away the cold.
