Uttar Pradesh: Fire breaks out in Allahabad University after student union polls announces

Soon after the Allahabad University’s student union polls announced, violence and arson were witnessed in the varsity campus. Miscreants allegedly set fire to rooms in a hostel occupied by the winning candidates. Furniture, documents and clothes were reportedly gutted in the fire. Later, police personnel and fire tenders pressed into action to douse the flames and restore normalcy.
