Restaurant owners in Greece join 'empty chairs' protest
  • 4 years ago
Restaurant owners in Thessaloniki, Greece, highlighted the precarious conditions they face during the COVID-19 pandemic by staging an "empty chair" protest.

The protest comes days after the Greek government eased the lockdown but did not authorise the reopening of restaurants and cafes.

Footage filmed on May 6 shows lines of empty chairs near the White Tower on the waterfront.
