বনের পাশে ছোট্ট একটি কুঠিরের মধ্যে ভয়ানক এক রাক্ষসী জোরে জোরে হাসছিলো। তার সামনে থাকা শয়তান মূর্তিকে জাগিয়ে তোলার জন্য সে জোড়ে জোড়ে মন্ত্র উচ্চারণ করছিলো। আর সেই আগুনের কুন্ডলির মধ্যে তার হাতের আঙ্গুলগুলি একটি একটি করে কেটে ফেলে দিচ্ছিলো। সে তার বা হাতের চারটি আঙ্গুলই আগুনের মধ্যে ফেলে দিয়েছে। আর পায়ের আঙ্গুলগুলো ইতোমধ্যেই সে আগুনের মধ্যে ফেলে দিয়েছে। ঘরের চারিদিকে লাল রক্ত ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে ছিলো। তার বা হাতের শেষ আঙ্গুলটি কাটার জন্য যখনি সে ছুড়ি তুলেছে, অমনি শয়তান দেবী ভয়ানক গর্জণ করে তার সামনে এসে উপস্থিত হয়। আর বলেঃ
