Wuhan's landmark Yellow Crane Tower reopens after three-months due to coronavirus pandemic

Wuhan's landmark Yellow Crane Tower or Huanghelou in Chinese reopened on Wednesday (April 29) after 98 days due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In the video, provided by local media with permission, 12 representatives of those who were on the front lines in combating COVID-19 were invited to visit the tower and ring a big bell for a blessing on its first day of reopening.

From April 29, the Yellow Crane Tower will open from 08:30 to 17:00 every day. Only 300 visitors will be allowed to enter every half an hour and it will only accept up to 5400 visitors a day.

Visitors will need to scan their health QR codes, have their temperatures checked and have to wear face masks during the whole journey.
