A large plume of smoke was seen rising over Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour after three boats caught fire on Tuesday (April 28).

The filmer told Newsflare: "Around 14.30, a yacht moored in the Kwun Tong typhoon shelter, in Hong Kong caught fire for yet unknown reasons.

"The diesel reservoir of the boat appeared to have also exploded, the fire sending out a huge plume of black smoke over Victoria Harbour. Firefighters said a total of three boats caught fire.

"Some residents of Hong Kong do use yachts or pleasure boats as an alternative to the very expensive housing market on land."
