Locals in Kariyamalai, Tamil Nadu, India alerted officials last week after spotting a leopard stuck in wire mesh.

Video filmed on April 17 shows forest officials and the leopard stuck in wire mesh.

According to reports, forest official had to cut the wire mesh in order to rescue the wild cat.

Nobody was injured and locals believe that the leopard was chasing prey when it got stuck in the wire mesh.
