Council staff create colourful 'THANK YOU NHS' road markings outside city hospital

'THANK YOU NHS' road markings have been created at the entrance to two Sunderland hospitals.
The markings, which also feature a rainbow, were painted at the Chester Road and Kayll Road entrances to Sunderland Royal Hospital and on the A1290 entrance to the new Nightingale Hospital near Nissan in Washington over the weekend by Sunderland City Council highways staff.
