The North Korean calendar even begins on April 15 and years are measured from the date of Kim's birth.But this year, celebrations were more subdued and appear to have come and gone without a public appearance by leader Kim Jong Un, which is unusual.

किम जोंग उन को आखिरी बार 11 अप्रैल को एक सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रम में देखा गया था. जिसमें उन्होंने कोरोना से निपटने के लिए सख्त कदम उठाने की बात कही थी. इसके बाद से किम जोंग किसी भी सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रम में नहीं दिखाई दिए. रिपोर्टों के मानें तो इसके बाद से ही किम जोंग की तबीयत बिगड़ी थी.
