The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources released 140,000 Chinook salmon into the Milwaukee River to repopulate and stock the species.

In footage captured near the Lakeside Brewery on April 20, the video shows thousands of the infant fish being deployed into the river through a special tube.

The filmer said: "The salmon will swim out into Lake Michigan and return in four years to spawn at this spot."
