Mukesh Ambani hailed the coming together of Reliance Jio and Facebook. Facebook announced an investment of $5.7 billion (Rs 43,574 crore) to buy a 9.99% equity stake in Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio. In a video statement released shortly after the announcement of deal RIL chairman said that the deal would be "a great catalyst to make India the world’s leading digital society".
