A limestone quarry in Thailand has been nicknamed the 'Chonburi Grand Canyon' after becoming an unusual tourist attraction.

Aerial drone footage shows the deep hole with turquoise coloured water and the steep, dusty brown cliffs. Some residents say it looks like a smaller version of the iconic Grand Canyon that runs along the Colorado River in Arizona, the United States.

The area has now become an unlikely spot for tourists to visit and pose against the barren backdrop for pictures they can post on social media.
