Why a shoe company is making 100,000 masks a week to fight the coronavirus

As people turn to masks to protect themselves against the coronavirus, hospitals are facing a deadly shortage. To help fill the gap, retailers like New Balance, Ralph Lauren, and Under Armour have started making masks out of factories that once produced shoes and clothes. Business Insider spoke with two retailers about how they've halted normal production, designed prototypes, and set up mask-manufacturing lines, all within a matter of days.
