A powerful 6-point-1-magnitude earthquake has struck in waters off of Japan's northeastern Miyagi prefecture.
Hitting at around 5-39 AM Monday morning.
The Japan Meteorological Agency reported the quake off of Miyagi Prefecture with its epicenter at a latitude of 38-point-9 degrees north and a longitude of 142-point-2 degrees east, at a depth of 50 kilometers.
We have a slightly different report though,... as the Korea Meteorological Agency says the quake was detected near Iwate prefecture instead.
So far, no tsunami warning has been issued.
This follows a 6-point-9 magnitude quake off the west coast of Japan's Ogasawara Islands on Saturday evening.
