To woo farmers ahead of LS polls, relief package likely in Budget 2019

As Lok Sabha elections 2019 are looming, the Narendra Modi government is likely to announce a relief package for the farmers in the Budget 2019. The farmers community is not happy with the agriculture policies of the Modi government and often resort of protest. In a bid to woo them, the government is considering waiving interest on crop loans for farmers who pay on time.
