Facebook to Tell Users When They
Encounter COVID-19 Misinformation The company will alert users when
they like, comment or react to posts
containing false information, hoaxes
or unproven cures. Facebook Vice President Guy Rosen, via blog post Facebook users who have interacted with misinformation
will see a message in their feed directing them to the
World Health Organization’s “Myth busters” page. The new feature is expected to
roll out in the coming weeks. The website previously notified users
only when they shared a post that
fact-checkers had labeled false.
