Community spirit! Street comes together to clap for frontline nurse during COVID-19 pandemic
  • 4 years ago
This was the moment a whole street came out to surprise a frontline nurse on her way to work in Kent, UK.

The clip, filmed on April 9, shows the moment Karen Washington walks out of her house ready to go to work, before being surprised by her whole street clapping in a show appreciation for her work during the coronavirus pandemic.

The filmer, Karen's son-in-law, Mason told Newsflare: "She’s the most wonderful, amazing, kindhearted person you will ever meet and anyone lucky enough to be cared by her will be very grateful as she goes above and beyond. This was everyone down her road that we organised to clap her off to go and do her night shift on ITU in Canterbury which is now a COVID-19 ward,"
