Homemade Spicy Chicken Shami Kebabs Recipe | Food Celebrations
Ingredients
Soaked Split Bengal gram / Chana Daal 1 cup
Boneless Chicken 2 cups
Water 3 – 4 cups
Chopped onion 1
Ginger garlic paste 1 Tbsp
1 small green chilli
Red chillies whole 2
Chilli / Paprika powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Cumin 1 tsp
Garam masala/ All spice 1 tsp
Chicken stock cubes 2 (Optional)
Kasoori methi 1/2 tsp
Haldi / Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Oil 2 Tbsp
Coriander and mint leaves
1 egg if needed
Method:
Add all the spices to the lentils and chicken. Add water and cook till the mixture dries up and is fully cooked. If needed more water can be added if the lentils are still undercooked. Grind the mixture adding fresh coriander and mint leaves. Form round patties. At this stage the kebabs can be frozen and fried in a little oil when rquired. An egg can be added to the mixture if the patties break while frying.
