French aircraft carrier docks with COVID-19-positive sailors
  • 4 years ago
French nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles-de-Gaulle is greeted by sanitation vehicles as it docks in the port of Toulon to begin an unprecedented operation to isolate 1,900 sailors after 50 naval personnel abord tested positive for COVID-19. The flagship of the French navy cut short its current mission in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic by 10 days because of the outbreak. Three sailors had already been evacuated to hospital Toulon as a "precaution" before the ship docked.
