Coronavirus: Hong Kong’s Christians celebrate Easter Sunday from home as churches stay empty
  • 4 years ago
Easter Sunday is the one of the holiest days of the year in the Christian calendar. Pastors  normally deliver sermons to packed church halls. But this year, many Churches around the world remain empty because of the coronavirus pandemic, as priests hold services online to allow the faithful to celebrate at home. Hong Kong’s normally busy St John’s Cathedral is eerily silent and smaller churches have arranged to livestream masses online.
