Snatch Grip Bent Rows 252.5lb

Snatch Grip Bent Rows after the Kneeling Jump Splits and before Snatches. You'll see 8X157lb, 6X185lb, 4X207lb, 2X225lb, 1+1X252.5lb. Grip was double overhand and it obviously had enough of this foolishness by the time I got up to 252.5lb plus, the Barbell Middle Finger Deadlifts from yesterday didn't help. Soooo why didn't I strap up or use a Hook Grip?? First, my form was ALREADY as loose as l wanted it to get. Second, l KNEW l was only going to be Snatching 160lb or so and being just under a HUNDRED POUNDS over that seems enough to say the least. Snatch Grip Bent Rows really work those Rear Delts and Middle Traps & Rhomboids!! By forcing myself to use a weaker grip, l am modulating my intensity because remember, today is Snatch day and EVERYTHING ELSE in today's workout is to help get better at Snatching. For me, Barbell Bent Row work primes my leg drive for Snatches & Cleans just like Squats prime me for Jerks. Hope this helps! Good Luck & God Bless!!
