As the number of Covid-19 infections and deaths in India continues to rise, Rajasthan’s Bhilwara has bucked the trend, being the only district with a high number of cases to show a decline in new infections. Speaking IAS officer Tina Dabi the SDM of Bhilwara city, said it could easily have gone the other way. “Bhilwara could have been the next Italy. We had the numbers, we could have been staring at community transmission,” she said.

टीना डाबी अक्‍टूबर 2018 से भीलवाड़ा की स‍ब-डिविजनल मजिस्ट्रेट हैं। उन्‍होंने बताया कि 19 मार्च को उन्‍हें कोरोना संक्रमण के पहले मामले की जानकारी मिली थी, जिसके बाद 20 मार्च को ही प्रशासन ने आगामी कदमों की रूपरेखा तय कर ली और फिर 25 मार्च को देशव्‍यापी लॉकडाउन की घोषणा से बहुत पहले ही भीलवाड़ा को पूरी तरह सील करने का फैसला ले लिया था।
