A look back to when Hastings Pier reopened to the public in 2016.

The pier reopened on April 27 2016 after most of the structure was destroyed by a fire in 2010.
The pier was sold to Sheikh Abid Gulzar in June 2018.
This 2016 video features interviews with Simon Opie (at the time of filming Simon was Hastings Pier Charity's CEO), Karen Trimmings (Operations Manager), Peter Wheeler (Pier Engineer) and a brief bit from Suggs (Vocalist from Madness). The video explains the pier's journey since its closure in 2008, and the huge fire in 2010, until it opened to the public on April 27 2016.
