Chinese motorist drives over pedestrian overpass to make U-turn

A driver missed the ramp exit and drove his car over a 6-metre-high pedestrian overpass to make a U-turn in northwestern China.

In the video filmed on April 5 in Xinjiang, China, the car is seen driving on an overpass.

It’s reported that the man accidentally missed the ramp exit when driving on the expressway.

He then drove his car up the stairs of the bridge and attempted to drive down the other side.

The staff at the toll booth saw this and called the police, who came to the spot and fined the man for 200 yuan (£23).

It is understood that the pedestrian bridge here can only support around 1,000 kg.
