A four-year-old Malayan tiger at New York’s Bronx Zoo tested positive for Covid-19 on April 6, 2020. The female tiger named Nadia developed a dry cough, but is expected to fully recover. The US Department of Agriculture believes Nadia, along with six other sick tigers and lions, contracted the coronavirus from a zoo employee but it is unclear which keeper infected the animals.
