Virus prompts import-dependent Hong Kong to shop locally

After the coronavirus triggered a wave of panic-buying that briefly left Hong Kong's supermarket shelves bare, residents have been turning to local producers for fresh food in a city almost entirely reliant on imports. Farmers in the financial hub -- which imports 98 percent of its vegetables -- have seen a spike in revenue since the city introduced tough measures to halt the spread of the virus.
