Walmart To Limit Number Of Customers In Stores At Any One Time
  • 4 years ago
Walmart is due to begin enforcing social distancing in its stores to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Business Insider, Walmart stores will allow no more than five customers for each 1,000 square feet of space.
To ensure a lower human density in the stores, Walmart employees will stationed at store entrances and will count customers to admit them one by one.
The average Walmart store is about 180,000 square feet.
By that calculation, there should be no more than 90 customers in an average-sized store at any one time.
Walmart has designated a single entrance and a single exit for each of its stores so that all arriving customers will filter through one entryway.
