My new album '2020' released on 26th March 2020 has been in the works for a couple of years. The '2020' title came to me in 2017 as I felt it would be an important year for humanity. The seven tracks on the album were recorded between 2017 and 2020 in amongst other tracks I've been working on, many which featured on my recent releases 'End of the Strangers' and 'One Way Ticket (Travelling Lighter)' and some still to come.
Of course, few people could have foreseen current events in 2020. Many of the songs on this album deal with the uncertainty, anxiety and increasing Orwellian control we see around us but as things get worse there is also the potential for them to get better and that is reflected in these songs. Spiritual Consciousness and the true nature of a human being is pointed to again and again in many tracks.
Almost all of the songs from this album date back to 2006 apart from "Sunflower Girl", which was written in November 2014. There is a bonus version of '2020' available with the original demos of each of the seven songs.

The artwork is from a photo I took in Berlin during the summer of 2014. I was seeing double digits a lot during that period.
