If You Could Read My Mind

Before she passed away, The Fabulous E.D. and I had talked about recording strictly acoustic, just whatever sound was in the room.
We taped each setup so we could compare and have a record. This was an experiment at recording Betty, my red sunburst single cutaway with just a studio mic with me singing into another. We never got to record anything else together, The Fabulous E.D. was gone before any of us could even say goodby. I'll post this in her memory for what we might have done together.
The song is one I've never done before and will probably never do again. Didn't rehearse it and read the words off a monitor. But it's a great song written by the best there ever was, Gordon Lightfoot. So if you wonder what it was like when two crazy people went into the studio to try some new recording techniques, this is it. Sound is not processed, no EQ, nothing.
I miss The Fabulous E.D., she was my partner, my friend, and she was family. I think of her and smile.
