Footage shows authorities in a lockdown city in the Philippines preparing supplies of food for stricken residents.

There have been fears that due to the strict community lockdown, curfew and travel restrictions many locals who are now unable to work will be unable to afford food

Paranaque City local government sent sacks of rice, canned goods, and other instant food packs from a warehouse to thousands of homes on Wednesday (March 25).

In the video, volunteers are seen packing the food into bags so they can distribute them to the people struggling to cope with the restrictions.

The city, which is inside the capital region Metro Manila, is under lockdown until April 14. Residents are also subject to curfews and rationing.
