The grounds of Divino Amor church in Lipa City, Batangas has been converted into a farm market selling fresh strawberries every Wednesday.

The idea is proving a hit with locals and thousands of people are now able to come together every Wednesday after Divino Amor church's enforced closure due to coronavirus social distancing rules.

The filmer told Newsflare: "The redemptionist priests saw that hundreds of people were squeezing in the public market and the social distancing was not observed, so they got an idea to convert the wide spaces of the church grounds into a market of vegetable and fruits.

"To help the poor farmers of the Cordillera region, the redemptionist priests offered their trucks to gather their vegetables and fruit produce."

The heartwarming footage was recorded on Wednesday (March 25).
