$2 trillion rescue package passes US Senate, heads to House

The US Senate passed the nation's largest-ever rescue package late Wednesday, a $2 trillion lifeline to suffering Americans, depleted hospitals and an economy all ravaged by a rapidly spreading coronavirus crisis.

The presiding officer, Senator John Boozman of Arkansas announces:"On this vote, the Yeas are 96, the Nays are zero. The 60-vote threshold having been achieved, the bill is passed."
