Refusal to comply by directions given by the Centre or the respective state can invite punishment which includes jail term of up to 1 year or a fine or both. If non-compliance leads to loss of life or danger shall invite punishment of jail term of 2 years. Making false claims during the period for getting any benefits, relief shall invite jail term of 2 years and fine.

गृह मंत्रालय के ऑर्डर में कहा गया है कि अगर कोई कोरोना वायरस से संबंधित कुछ अफवाह फैलाता है, फिर उसे एक साल तक की सजा हो सकती है, साथ ही जुर्माना भी लग सकता है। लोगों की सहायता के लिए दिए गए फंड में घोटाला करनेवालों के खिलाफ ऐक्शन की भी बात कही गई है। ऐसे में दो साल तक की सजा। सरकारी अफसर भी इसके दायरे में होंगे। सरकार की बताई गाइडलाइन का पालन नहीं करने पर कॉर्पोरेट पर भी जुर्माने की बात है।
