Over 120,000 Entertainment Industry
Jobs Lost Since Coronavirus Outbreak The global pandemic has affected roles
associated with the International Alliance
of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE). News of the lost jobs comes from the
International Cinematographers Guild
and Motion Picture Editors Guild. Roles displaced by the coronavirus include
editors, cinematographers and production designers. Some members will receive payment for up to
two weeks following production closings. Due to the spread of the coronavirus, it
is very unlikely projects will continue
after that period of time. IATSE international president Matthew D. Loeb is
now asking Congress to pass a relief package
for entertainment employees. Matthew D. Loeb, via petition Matthew D. Loeb,
