'I'm in a higher risk group': Joy Behar steps away from 'The View' amid coronavirus scare Not even Hollywood is safe from the coronavirus pandemic that has gripped much of the world.

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson announced they were tested positive for the virus Wednesday and received an outpouring of support from fellow stars.

Many other celebs shared their thoughts on the pandemic and how they've been coping with the virus.

"The View" co-host Joy Behar announced on the show Friday that she will be stepping away from the ABC talk show temporarily as a safety precaution, citing her age, after her daughter insisted.

"I’m in a higher risk group because of my age, but I’m perfectly healthy," Behar, 77, said during a pre-taped episode that will air Friday. "I don’t look my age, but I’m actually up there. The number makes me dizzy."

Octavia Spencer, while on the phone to discuss her forthcoming Netflix series "Self Made: Inspired By the Live of Madam C.J. Walker," said she's going on a self-imposed isolation.

"Allow this process to happen. Pray for the world because this is a pandemic. People are losing loved ones every day. People are losing their livelihood. I’m going to be prayer-ful. I’m going to spend the time to read and reflect. And watch a lot of TV and Netflix,” Spencer said.
