For many Chinese people in the countryside, hamburgers are a novelty that can only be found in big cities or abroad. But Dianxi Xiaoge, a food influencer in rural Yunnan, wanted her grandparents to try one. So she made a whole hamburger from scratch with just a wok and stove.

This video is the last of our six-episode collaboration with Dianxi Xiaoge. With over 11 million followers worldwide, Dianxi Xiaoge is known for her cooking videos showcasing the traditional food of Yunnan Province. We went to live with her for a week and learned how to make her most iconic dishes.
