Harvard Transitions to Online Classes
in Response to Coronavirus Concerns Harvard University recently announced their decision
to move undergraduate and graduate classes online. The decision is due to the rapid spread
of COVID-19 across the United States. So far, there are 41 presumptive positive cases of the
coronavirus in Massachusetts where Harvard is located. Students are reportedly required to move out of their dorms
by March 15, with online schooling to begin on March 23. Those who do remain on campus will face “severely
limited on-campus activities and interactions.” According to Harvard President Lawrence Bacow, the goal is
to minimize the time spent by students in “close proximity.” Lawrence Bacow,
