The Samaritan Woman in John 4 is a well known story in the Gospels between Jesus and a woman of Samaria, who was divorced multiple times and most likely a pariah, shunned by people of her community.

In Jesus' discussion with the Samaritan woman, Jesus presses her on what keeps her from God: namely her sin. Though, the Samaritan woman tries to shift the conversation from her moral life to a theological debate.
