Iran extends school and university closures and limits travel to fight coronavirus outbreak

Iran is stepping up efforts to fight the spread of the deadly coronavirus in the country. Officials announced on March 5, 2020, that the closure of schools and universities will be extended until April, after holidays for Nowruz or the Persian New Year starting March 20. Travel between Iranian cities will also be limited to fight the coronavirus that causes Covid-19. The disease has already been confirmed in at least 3,500 people and taken over 100 lives in the country.
