In Texas, Democrats do battle for Latino vote
  • il y a 4 ans
In Texas, candidates and youth-led organizations are focusing on engaging young Latino voters ahead of the Democratic primary. The Hispanic community makes up a third of the state's electorate, but voter turnout in the community is also notoriously low: since 1996, Pew data shows that most eligible Latinos have not cast ballots in US presidential elections. It's key for Democratic candidates to woo Latino voters on "Super Tuesday" on March 3, when some 15 states, including Texas, will go to the polls to decide who will face off against Donald Trump in the November presidential election.
