AAP govt didn’t stop any prosecution sanction in last 5 years: Raghav Chadha

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on February 28 permitted prosecution of Left leader Kanhaiya Kumar in a long-pending sedition case. While speaking to ANI in the national capital, the national spokesperson of AAP, Raghav Chadha said, “The law department of government of Delhi after conducting due diligence in the matter gave their opinion to the home department of Delhi and also given its clearance. The government of Delhi as a matter of principal and policy has not stopped any prosecution sanction of anybody in the last five years.” “Cases on all AAP MLAs were filed and the regular process of law was followed by courts. We fundamentally believe that the government is not the agency or the authority that should be deciding on the merits of these matters,” he added.
